BAJA WHALE WATCHING

Day one: Fly non-stop with US Airways from Phoenix to Cabo San Lucas on the peninsula of Baja California Mexico. After clearing customs, we will travel to La Paz via the East Cape. The city of La Paz is known as the “City of Illusion”, because of the way it will twist ones sense of direction. La Paz was first discovered by a band of mutineers looking for an island of Amazons and pearls. Upon arrival you will check in to the Hotel Marina or the La Concha Beach Resort and have a welcome dinner. (D)

Day two: After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel depart for Magdalena Bay. This deep-water bay, with shores embroidered with mangrove thickets and salt marshes, is a nursery for sea and birdlife. The water teems with sardines and herring making this a perfect place for the Gray whales. Lunch will be in a local restaurant, upon arrival in Puerto San Carlos and check in at our Hotel Alcatraz or similar.  During the afternoon, we will begin our wildlife adventure navigating in the shallow lagoons for bird and whale watching. The Alcatraz Hotel is quaint, rustic and comfortable, and the staff is accommodating and genuine, with great authentic food. (B, L, D)

Day three: After breakfast, we board our boats again for another great opportunity with the whales in the Magdalena Bay. After our morning excursion, we will have lunch before we will travel back to La Paz and checking in to the Hotel Marina or the La Concha Beach Resort. You will have time explore and shop in the Marina district before dinner. (B, L, D)

Day four: After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and have a city tour. Then travel south to Bahia de Todos los Santos. This beautiful town has been distinguished for its cultural vocation, the home for painters, sculptors and artisans enjoying this small oasis with century old brick an adobe homes that line the narrow street. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, after which we will check in to the Hotel California.  This afternoon will be at your leisure for you to visit the many art galleries and shops, visit the museum or just relax with a cold drink. This evening, we will have our farewell dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)

Day five: After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and Travel back to San Jose del Cabo for your flight back home. (B)

Tour package includes round trip air with home and hotel transfers, four nights’ accommodations, eleven meals and sightseeing listed in the itinerary, baggage handling at hotels. Price is subject to fuel surcharges until paid in full.

Not included in the package are the airline baggage fees, gratuities for all drivers, guides and hotel staff. There is a minimum of 10 people required for this tour to operate.

Full refund, if canceled more than 60 days before the tour, and 50% refund per person if canceled 60-31 days before tour. No refunds for cancellations with less than 30 days notice. If Synergy Tours & Cruises cancels the tour for any reason all paid participants will receive a full refund.

Synergy Tours offers a Trip Cancellation/Medical Travel Insurance. Insurance to protect your travel investment is highly recommended; it is the responsibility of the passengers to purchase the optional insurance.
