Pima Air & Space Museum, where history takes flight, is one of the largest air and space museums in the world, and the largest non-government funded aviation museum. The Museum maintains a collection of more than 275 aircraft and spacecraft from around the globe, including many rare and one-of-a-kind, and more than 125,000 artifacts. Here you will walk among the giants of our aviation heritage, including military, commercial, and civil aviation. Among them are a B-29 Super-fortress, the SR-71 Blackbird, and a rare World War II German V-1 "buzz bomb." The collection also includes President John F. Kennedy's Air Force One, and presidential aircraft used by president's Nixon and Johnson. The Museum has five large hangars totaling more than 177,000 feet of exhibit space.
AMARG Tour is at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group Center, also known as the "Bone-yard." The facility is located adjacent to the Museum at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. This will be about an hour-long tour inside a vehicle. Due to increased security concerns, one small carry-on item is allowed per passenger. Carry-on items may include a small camera, purse, or fanny/belt pack. Government issued photo identification is required.
The Titan Missile Museum is the only publicly accessible Titan II missile site in the nation. On this one-hour guided tour, you will stand on top of the launch duct and observe the Titan II missile in the launch duct. Then you will descend 35 feet into the underground missile complex and visit the launch control center where you will experience a simulated launch of the missile. Finally, you will visit level two of the missile silo where you will have another view of the missile in the launch duct.
Includes transportation, entrance into Pima Air & Space Museum, AMARG, Titan Missile Museum, lunch and minimum gratuities.
