The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

October 7—10, 2008

$580 per person double, $800 per single

DAY ONE - We depart this morning in our luxury motor coach for Albuquerque New Mexico.  Our first stop is for coffee and goodies at the rest area, overlooking Roosevelt Lake, as we make our way into Arizona’s High Country.  Lunch today (on own) in Winslow, as we continue on to Albuquerque New Mexico.  We will make specific stops at various points of interest throughout the day. We will then check into the Best Western Hotel, Rio Grande with the evening free to explore and shop the area.

DAY TWO - This morning, we are off to the Balloon Festival, with an early rise, as we want to watch the Mass Ascension as this morning.  We have reserved space under a tent for our use throughout the day.  Continental Breakfast is included under our tent as the balloons lift off.  You will have time to explore the area, experience the vendors and entertainment, as we see first hand why the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is touted as the best in North America!  This evening, after some time to rest up, we have arranged for a banquet dinner at La Placita, one of the historic downtown restaurants.

DAY THREE - Today, after breakfast at the hotel, (on own) we are heading to Santa Fe, New Mexico.  This is a wonderful day adventure, and you will have time to sightsee throughout the region.  We will also tour the town square, and all of the unique shops and attractions that the square has to offer.  If you wish, you can even sample the fare of the street vendors who will be happy to make you the historic “Santa Fe Taco”!  This evening, we have arranged for a farewell dinner banquet (included) at High Noon, another historic restaurant in downtown Albuquerque.

DAY FOUR - Today, after breakfast, (on own) we put our bags out for collection and meet everyone for our return to Phoenix Arizona.  Of course, we have several very interesting stops and sightseeing opportunities for you, as we make our way back to the Valley.
