MapAlaska Cruise June 2008

Alaska cruises have become one of the most popular ways to visit Alaska. Cruises feature glaciers, wildlife, native heritage, great food, entertainment, interesting ports of call and fascinating tours along way… and you only have to unpack once! This cruise is on Celebrity’s Infinity, is steeped with prestige and elegance. Dressed in polished marble, warm woods and etched glass, Infinity consistently makes a long-lasting, luxurious impression.

Washington June 20th Depart 5:00 PM

The Emerald City combines spectacular natural beauty and cosmopolitan flair like few places can. An outdoor and coffee mecca, Seattle also offers up some of the best seafood anywhere along the Pacific Rim. Named after the great chief of the Suquamish Indians, Seattle enjoys a fusion of American, Asian and Native American cultures you won't likely find anywhere else.

Inside Passage (Cruising) June 21st

This is one of the most famously beautiful passages in the entire world. It features virtually everything you came to Alaska hoping to see, including rain forests, glaciers, fjords and white-capped peaks. All of which create a setting that is perfect for viewing whales and sea lions.

Ketchikan, Alaska June 22nd   Arrive 7:00 AM - Depart 3:00 PM

In addition to being the jumping-off point for seaplane excursions into the Misty Fjords National Monument and its 2.2 million acres of wilderness nirvana, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit tribe. Another "must-see" here is the world's largest collection of totem poles. You can learn what motivates someone to turn a piece of lumber into a towering work of art at the Saxman Native Village and Totem Bight and Totem Heritage Center.

Hubbard Glacier (Cruising) June 23rd   Arrive 2:00 PM - Depart 6:00 PM

Hubbard Glacier is the one glacier in the world that does not move at a glacial pace. Quite the opposite. In fact, in 1986, Hubbard Glacier - the largest tidewater glacier on the North American continent - moved an average of just under 5.5 feet per hour. Keep a watchful eye as you sail through the Yakutat Bay, as you may be a witness to geological history.

Juneau, Alaska June 24th   Arrive 9:00 AM - Depart 7:00 PM

Where Earl Grey meets Eddie Bauer would be a good way to describe the charms of Alaska's capital city. Here the pioneering spirit lives on in an interesting mix of cosmopolitan chic and frontier ruggedness. Visit the Alaska State Museum and its exquisite collection of Russian Orthodox and Gold Rush relics.

Victoria, British Columbia Jun 25th Arrive 2:00 PM - Depart 8:00 PM

The capital of British Columbia is also its largest island. This one-time British colony has retained much of its colonial splendor. Victoria is a seaside enclave that enjoys a temperate climate. Which is great, because you'll want to explore all the museums, parks and golf courses Victoria has to offer.

Seattle, Washington  June 26th Arrive 6:00 AM

Today we need to disembark our great home at the sea on the Infinity.
