Rocky Point Ecology Tour

$310 pp double, $390 per single

This 3-day tour takes you to Puerto Penasco, known as Rocky Point. This town is on the Sea of Cortez and is Arizona's closest beach. This town has beautiful sandy beaches, gorgeous sunsets, great seafood and Sonoran Style Mexican Cuisine. We will be staying at the Playa Bonita Hotel, right on the beach. This tour highlights the ecology of the Sea of Cortez, the Sonoran Desert and the Estero Morua. We will have a lecture and visit the CEDO facility, before visiting the Cooperative Oyster Farm, great birding, and an easy walk into a vast and pristine estuary. Price includes transportation, two nights lodging, one dinner, one lunch at Casa de Capitan, two breakfasts at the hotel, an optional local shopping and orientation tour, minimum gratuities and bottled water.

Day 1                         

Depart Sonoran Plaza trip parking lot at 8:00am.

Coffee break & rest stop in Gila Bend.

Lunch included in Rocky Point at Casa del Capitan restaurant.

Arrive at the Hotel with the afternoon free to enjoy the beach and hotel.

Dinner is included this evening.

Day 2                                                 

Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Join us on the Ecology excursion at CEDO. At 11:30am, we will head out for an afternoon excursion with lunch and shopping on your own. Your guide or the front desk can help set up some other activities you might prefer, like fishing, sunset cruise, ATV rentals, golfing,  etc. Dinner is on your own tonight; your guide will make suggestions.

Day 3                                                 

Breakfast included at the hotel.

Check out of Hotel at 10:00am.

Shopping at fish market and lunch on your own along the Malecon.

Depart Rocky Point at 1:00pm.

Last minute shopping in Sonoyta.

Return back around 6:00pm.

Passports are not required, proof of citizenship is required for re-entry into the U.S.
